SRB Records Introduces Limited-Edition 12-Inch Stereo Lathe-Cut Releases
SRB Records is proud to introduce a new way to experience our releases: limited-edition 12-inch stereo lathe-cut records.
Each record is handmade and cut individually in real time—one copy at a time—from a mix and master prepared specifically for the lathe-cut format. Every release includes a professionally printed label, jacket, dust cover, and protective cellophane wrapping, creating a finished package designed to look and feel at home alongside quality retail vinyl. There is no pressing plant and no mass production. Every SRB Records lathe-cut is a bespoke physical release, made individually and specifically for you.
We are launching this format with three initial releases:
In Person “Justified and Stripped” LP
In August 1969, the King returned to the stage after eight years away from regular live performing. His engagement at the International Hotel in Las Vegas marked the beginning of a new chapter, as the legendary singer stepped back into the spotlight with a confidence, energy, and intensity that had not been seen in years.
For Justified and Stripped, these performances have been carefully reconstructed and remixed to remove the orchestral elements and bring the King and the musicians surrounding him to the forefront. The result places greater emphasis on the TCB Band and the immediacy of the legendary singer’s voice, offering a fresh perspective on one of the most important periods of his live career.
On Stage “Justified and Stripped” LP
In January and February 1970, the King returned to the International Hotel in Las Vegas for another engagement, building on the momentum of his triumphant return to live performance the previous summer.
The original program has been rebuilt from multitrack and soundboard sources, with the orchestral layers removed to place the focus on the King and the TCB Band. This curated selection reveals the raw energy, tight musicianship, and commanding vocal performance of an artist fully engaged with his band, his audience, and the possibilities of the stage.
Hawaii “Justified and Stripped” LP / CD / DVD Bundle
On January 14, 1973, the King took the stage at the Honolulu International Center for the landmark Aloha from Hawaii satellite broadcast. Seen by audiences around the world, the concert represented the height of his international visibility, placing him at the center of one of the most ambitious live television events of its time.
For Justified and Stripped, the broadcast has been deconstructed and rebuilt to place the King and the TCB Band at the heart of the performance. The change in perspective is particularly striking on a concert so closely associated with its visual presentation.
This special bundle includes:
The Justified and Stripped LP
CDs of both the rehearsal and main concerts
A special DVD presentation of the full concert paired with Justified and Stripped audio
These limited-edition releases offer a new perspective on landmark performances—individually cut, carefully packaged, and made for collectors who value the character and craftsmanship of a truly bespoke physical release.
